it's nice to have the conversation for me too! Not much use in telling you to go look at a Japanese page either ;) but you always have the best questions and I enjoy looking for (and occasionally finding) answers.

I’ve always found that position of “nonspecific noble companion to royalty” compelling in fiction; it seems so unstable but potentially influential.
Yup, there's so much good storytelling potential... .
