Absolutely. On reflection, I wonder if most of the books don't touch on her because her life was (comparatively, outwardly) straightforward: she wanted to be a scientist, and she was one. Less to discuss than for women who had a lot of romantic drama, wrote literature etc. more accessible to the layperson than cytology and botany, etc. She needs a biography by one of those gifted science popularizers...
