Yeah, that's a lot for one book! Judging by my vague memories of when I bought Ume's letters, it was right around the time I found a 36-volume complete edition of the works of the author I studied in grad school (she'll be appearing here in about, um, thirty-five years) for the equivalent of $60 all told, so I may have been feeling inclined to spend more on other books :)
